A few blocks down Rue Marbeuf off the Champs Elysees, you will find the restaurant La Fermette Marbeuf 1900. You will step back into time as you enter this incredible 1900 Art Nouveau interior. When reserving, ask for a table in the room with the “vitraux"—stained glass windows.
Apparently this space had been turned into a Formica-clad bistro. At one point, the owner decided to remodel. As the Formica panels were stripped from the walls, this incredible decor was re-revealed. Now the restaurant has its original turn of the century Art Nouveau splendor.
Not cheap: for a Christmas eve dinner for four a few years ago, the bill was 320 euros (this included aperitifs, two bottles of pretty decent St. Emilion, and a three course fine meal for each of us). On the regular menu, main courses begin at 20 euros.
English is spoken fluently, and the menu is in French and English, to handle the healthy volume of tourists that visit this place.

Favorite Dish: The Christmas Eve turkey was extremely good.
If possible, find the time to have a meal at La Fermette Marbeuf when you go to Paris. It is in le 8ieme arrondissement near les Champs Elysees and it is on Marbeuf street. To maximize your experience, get your hotel conceierge to make a reservation "sous la voute". I cannot explain the beauty of the stained glass vault above your head which dates back to the turn of the last century...you simply have to experience it yourself. As for the food...wow! It isn;t cheap but it is the quintissential Paris experience.
La Fermette Marbeuf 1900 is a beautiful restaurant located just a couple blocks off of the Champs D'Elysees. We wanted to go to see it as the story is that during a renovation, while stripping off the wallboards and ceiling they found the original belle epoque interior. The restaurant has now had the interior restored and it is beautiful to see.
In addition to the beauty of the restaurant, the food is also delicious. The menu is classic french, and the choices plentiful for any taste. The wine list is also extensive and reasonably priced.
The serving staff was also very pleasant and attentive. As we don't speak the best french, they guided us through the menu and provided recommendations that were right on target.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a romantic meal or just a good meal in a nice place.
Favorite Dish: Everything we had was delicious, but I will put in a special note about my roast duck breast. Cooked perfectly with a fig sauce and vegetables on the side. Tres bonne!
This restaurant was suggested by "Great Eats in Paris". The ambiance is fabulous! The tile walls were rediscovered when interior walls were removed several years ago.
Favorite Dish: We only had dessert, which was very satisfying. The table side preparation of the Grand Marinier Crepes was a spectacle! This place is pricey, so make sure you are there for a special occasion. See the Felix restaurant review for my favorite dinner restaurant in Paris.
Restaurant is very elegant. The costumers were very fancy and elegant. Maybe we were the youngest couple in the restaurant... We've ordered a dry red Bordeaux vine of 1999 with beginners(mine was with artichoke, I adore them!) and later as a second dish duck and steak with bernese souce..
Just it's very expensive..
Favorite Dish: The wine was very nice.. And I can heavily suggest you the duck.. Cream Brulee is a dream...
This is an incredible place:
In 1983, the owners of this restaurant decide to renovate it. They discover original Art Nouveau decoration, completly forgotten and hidden by layers of plaster and paint.
This place is now an official national monument, because of its 1898 Emile Hurté architecture and stained glass windows.
The food is delicious and refined. A great address.
Slightly cheaper for lunch than for dinner.
