Madras Cafe: South Indian Ambience and Tucker

by cochinjew Written Oct 2, 2009

Bus no 43 from Neuilly deposited me at the bus stop near Gare du Nord and just across from the bus stop was Madras Cafe. As a homage to my friends with whom I spent a lovely time in KL this past week, I had wanted to eat a Dosai.. the reason for this pilgrimage. As soon as I entered the place, all the people eating and the workes.. they all looked South Indian and the frgrance of the interior was unmistakably tamoul nadoo.. was happy from the begining. the owner/manager came over and i asked him whether he was from India, he said Karaikkal..

Favorite Dish: i had come especially to taste Dosai, something i am not going to get in Miami or Havana or most parts of the USA on my next trip there..

a madras dosai is pictured and followed it up with masala tea indian style.
the total bill was only 7 euros. stomach and the mind both satisfied
