If you want to eat at a silent place- dont go here. there is a french man singing constantly, you cant miss him even if there is 6 rooms you can eat in... and it is normal that others sing along.... the people working here are lively as well...two of my friends got "flying" bread from the kitchen on their heads....(they were having a food fight in the kitchen and we were sitting nearby)

Favorite Dish: old traditional food from the time of Asterix & Obelix. The starter is a buffet.
Try the duck and the chocolate mousse. we eat so much. first starter, fruits, grilled duck, cheese, cholcolate mousse..

you get the wine from a big barrel som when the bottle is empty you can bring it to the kitchen and the refill if for free!!! Great deal!:)

NOT FOR LOVERS
This restaurant, in the City Island, is very typical. For one price, you can eat everything here : salads, delicatessen, pieces of meat, cheese and dessert, with red and white wines. All is at disposal on the first floor . You'll spend a very good time in an ancient cellar voutee, sit with all your friends at large tables and hearing french popular songs.
Must go only with alot of friends, for example to share a birthday party, but not a romantic place………

We visited here in 1994 and had a memorable evening the staff were very friendly and the layout of the tables means you don't get a romantic meal for 2, rather the chance to mix with strangers. On our table there were English, Brazilians & Japanese, by the end of the evening and lots of wine all were all friends.
We haven't been back since becoming vegetarians, there didn't seem much point unless the menu has changed. The 1st course was cruddities, following by cold meats, then the grill, followed by vegetables, dessert, cheese and then coffee which strangely was not in with the price, even though everything else including wine was.

Nos Ancetres les Gaulois - A restaurant you won't forget. They take 33 Euros per person and it's worth every cent!

Favorite Dish: It's fixed menu.

It is very peculiar restaurant. You make your own salad, serve yourself cheese an other delicatessen dishes, and they prepare the second dish previously choosed by you.
A little expensive, but different to typical restaurants. Very big, but usually full. So better reserve a table.
