It's good that walking in Paris is so enjoyable, because dining in Paris provides endless possibilities to expand your waistline! How to choose? You can eat at Michelin 3 stars, classic bistros and big brasseries or just catch a cup of coffee at a café. Want something different? Asian, North African, Italian, vegetarian, creperies, patisseries, and even McDonalds await.
Restaurants are required to post their menus outside. While the old "rule" is to avoid menus with English or pictures if you want to eat good food, use your own judgment. And don't forget to check VTer tips before you go.
If it is a restaurant of note you will need a reservation, sometimes far in advance. Reserving is polite in any case so that the restaurant can plan, especially important for the smaller establishments.
I am OBSESSED with Paris - I don't know why, maybe it's because most of my ancestry is French (excepting my Oglala Sioux heritage) - but I'm always trying to figure out a way to get back!
