One of the eldest seafood restaurants in Paris (it opened in 1892 and had several famous regular patrons like Henri Miller) and still one of the best.
Le Wepler is a place to go if you love oysters.
The restaurant surprises a bit - contrasting with the slightly run down neighbourhood - it's an upscale place.
The service is excellent and the seafood really great (if on the expensive side but the quality is there).
Favorite Dish: Oysters of course
or tartare de saumon ?
Poelée de Saint-Jacques ?
The food was adequate, albeit not what was expected from the reviews. But, the service was terrible! If you are looking for a pleasant night out, stay away from Le Wepler: the service will give you frost bite.
Absolutely wonderful for seafood fan: Wepler ... many fish based courses including enormous iced seafruit dishes !!!!! For those who don't love seafruit other 'original' courses are available.
