Sephora flagship store

Being the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Champs Elysees are the location of many "Flagship Stores" : Louis Vuitton, Nike, Nespresso... The brands are fighting to have the most impressive and luxurious shop.

Located on number 70, Sephora Champs Elysées is certainly one of them. The store is beautiful and always crowded.
They have a huge selection so no doubt you will this french perfume your mum asked you to bring her back !
And if you runned out of your favourite lipstick or mascara, they also have a lot of US brands such as MAC, Smashbox, Bare Minerals, Urban Decay...

Also, if you need a little makeover before spending the evening at the Moulin Rouge (!) they have services such manucure, brow bar and beauty bar where you can get your make up done. Always useful !

Let's make it clear, this place is a paradise for us girls.
And for guys ? Well it might be a nightmare for some of them but since it's always packed with pretty girl maybe it's a spot they shouldn't ignore after all ;-)

The Sephora in Paris

There are many shopping stores in France. And, if you are a shopacaholic, this place, like Milan, will be a overdose for you!

Just walk at both side of the streets at the Champs Elysees and you will see hundreds of designer's stores. This includes Sephora!

What to buy: Not sure what you like but I am pretty positive, if you like the quality goods, you will find it here. If not for yourself, for you loved ones who are waiting for your gift to bring back home!

What to pay: Depends on what you buy.

SEPHORA: Where I can always find the unique fragrance

Sephora is a very special place in Paris for me for the simple reason that I always found myself here to purchase my mother a perfume unique to Paris.

Back in the late 1990's Sephora was just starting and Paris was their flagship store. I had never seen a Sephora in the states and of course since early 2000 you can find a Sephora in just about every major city in the states, and of course worldwide.

I love their cosmetics, you can find just about every make available at department stores. Their perfume section is wonderful and here in Paris you can find scents made by Guerlain and others that are only marketed in Paris.

There is so much energy in the stores and they are always crowded.

What to buy: While in Paris I always find a Guerlain scent only marketed in Paris (my duaghter's favorite) and something special for my mom.

I buy anything from designer lip gloss, eyeliner or scented powder.

What to pay: Mid range to expensive.

Smells like Beauty

Oh how I love a Sephora Store…..

Although they are as frequent in Paris as Starbucks is in North America the store on Le Champs is my favorite.

Yes the shelves are lined with tres cher product. Most of them priced out of my budget so make sure to check out the Sephora line of cosmetics.

They are of very good quality a whole lot cheaper, and their eye make up remover is one of the best around!

What to buy: And another plug for the Italian cosmetic Mecca…. The Sephora brand prices are almost

EXACTLY the same here in Toronto as they are in Paris, N.Y. and Las Vegas so I assume it is

the same world wide! I love that.

What to pay: 9 Euro and up, up.......up!

Inside Sephora

The leading chain of perfume and cosmetics stores in France, sells its own makeup as well as all the big brands. Choose from 365 colors of lipstick. Help yourself to perfumes (there are no counters). Everything is out for you to touch and try on.

What to buy: Look for the expensive French brands such as Clarins and get them for a steal. Also, look for perfumes that you don't see in the States- i.e. Loewe.

Sephora on Champs-Elysees

Well girls, this is for sure a must-visit target, because Paris is... Paris, the land of fashion and beauty.
Everything you wish is here: skincare, fragrance, makeup, bath & body, hair care, 250 brands and Sephora's own private label.
Just be sure you have enough time... for playing the spoiled child.

Entrance to Sephora at Rivoli.

Ok, you probably have Sephora in your home country, in that case stop yawning. Here in Sweden there is yet no Sephoras, hence this shopping tip! I have been a fan of this shop ever since back in the nineties. Now there are Sephoras everywhere. I like the wide range of products they carry, and often the staff is very professional and has a great knowledge.

They also offer nail service, maquillage a point, consultations ...

What to buy: Apart from brqand names Sephora also have a wide range of their own products. Many little practical things like nail clippers, mini nail files, anti-blemish gel are very price-worthy. Also, their Sephora eye crayons are very short, ideal for keeping in your handbag.

What to pay: From a few euros and up.

Sephora is a fabulous shop, period. There are aisles and aisles of makeup to tempt you. More perfume and cologne than I can remember. It's enough to make your head swoon...or it could be all the perfume samples.

Regardless, this is a hot spot in Paris. I've shopped at 3 Sephoras here: Champs-Elysses, Carrousel du Louvre and La Defense. By far, the best Sephora is on Champs-Elysses...huge store--it's the flagship store! There are some expensive brands, but there are the affordable brands, too, as well as hair accessories, makeup brushes, bath gel/salt, etc.

You're not allowed to take photographs of the store. Security guards are walking around, watching people. I have, however, seen women come in here, do their nails with the sample bottles and leave. Go figure. Guess it's okay to get ready for a hot date in this cosmetic store.

All in all, it's a great place to shop...great gift items that extend beyone the quintessential miniature Eiffel Tower and Venus de Milo socks.

What to buy: Great selection of cosmetics, beauty supplies and perfume/cologne.

A few brands available: Stila, Bourjois, Nars, Dior, Anna Sui, Iman, Lancome, Urban Decay, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, and the list goes on.

Worth a stop!

What to pay: It depends on how much you buy. You can get the Sephora brand of eye shadow for less than 5 Euros. You can also purchase a bottle of Chanel No. 5.

So what do you do after you've seen the Mona Lisa?

Head downstairs to fulfill all of your perfume/cologne dreams. This branch of Sephora is not as huge as the one located on the Champs Elysess of course.

But it's a fun-filled excursion. All the newly launched French perfumes and colognes can be found here. And the fun is finding which one you like best!

What to buy: Any newly launched perfume or cologne. The US launches them later on.

What to pay: Depends on what you buy
