  • use the metro - line 6, direction of Charles de Gaulle Etoile and it's just after Pasteur it goes above ground the view of the buildings is beautiful & you get some great views of the Eiffel Tower too. Last time we did this there was a girld playing the violin & it was extra lovely!

    versailles was amazing, if not a bit over the top. i picture king louis the sun god as the donald trump back then (with autism [sp?]). anyway, it was really awesome how marie antionette's original comforter was still on her bed!! i was kind of disappointed though because i couldnt get the full effect of the hall of mirrors because they were refurbishing half the hall. :( but i did love the gardens! and the napoleon room!! i could take pics of my favorite pic at the louvre cuz they had the copy there!! (the coronation of napoleon, by jaques david) i would also reccommend going to the trianon and marie antoinette's hamlet. they arent too far from versailles.

    we visited the Louvre on the first Sunday of the month, which is free for all. needless to say it was packed with people. even so, visiting the Louvre is a special museum experience. the museum is so huge it's not something you can take in all in one day. i suggest devoting the most amount of time to the art or period that interests you more than others. also, i suggest picking an audio tour guide. i find them to be very helpful and full of information no mattre what museum i go to. last tip - after waiting to see la Gianconda (Mona Lisa) be sure to step out into the grand gallery and see the other DaVinci's, especially John the Baptist - it's my favorite masterpiece by Leonardo.

    well when i first got to the Eiffel Tower you`ve already seen it a million times on Tv so its not got that much wow factor, you take a few pics have a look round then take a lift up to one of it`s levels, but then i had to eat my words because if you look over to the Eiffel Tower at night it`s covered in bright flashing lights and really did think it was a bit speacial, sadly i have no photo`s of it at night time though.
