For the show, you have the option of having dinner which consists of a 5 course meal with wine or champagne and dessert. I would highly suggest this option. Dinner was great. We got seated right directly in front of the stage which made the show even better, but even if you don't get placed in the front the room has stadium seating which is still a good view from the back. The costumes were amazing as well as the individual performances. My favorite, the woman who dances with a boa underwater.........but they were all amazing.

Moulin Rouge is the most famous and enduring of the old Parisian cabarets. Established in 1889, it was a favorite subject of the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, whose depictions of showgirls at the Moulin Rouge are legendary. The recent film "Moulin Rouge," starring Nicole Kidman, brought this old theatre back into the limelight.
The Moulin Rouge is located in Montmarte, a unique and artistic section of Paris. In its heyday, it was known for the dancing girls who performed the Can Can on stage. There is still a show at the Moulin Rouge, although I didn't attend because it's a tad expensive (125-155 euros with dinner, 79-89 without dinner). There are two shows (7:30pm and 11:00pm).
I was content to simply walk by and admire the exterior of Moulin Rouge. It looks great for its age and makes a great photo op!

A visit to Paris is not complete without seeing the windmill of the Moulin Rouge.
Located along Paris's seedier strip of porn and strip joints the windmill pops out of nowhere.
Also in the area is an Aussie pub. (hey you can't help good luck.) We found Crownies... How cools that

There are few landmarks in Paris that deserve their bohemian reputations so much as the Moulin Rouge. This Montmartre landmark was once a cabaret, a place where the Can Can was danced nightly until its risquee movements became fashionable good fun. Later a highbrow restaurant and now a cinema, this former house of ill-repute is deeply associated with Toulouse-Lautrec and other artists, and today remains an important must-see in northern Paris, and a neon nightshow after dark.

The Moulin Rouge isnt that big to look at, I almost walked past it, not realising what it was.
However it does look very distinctive when it's illuminated at night.
The Pigalle & Place de Clichy area is lined with strip shows & sex shops

Last time in Paris I finally visited in Moulin Rouge and the show was great. The dancers were quite professional. There was some other program than just the dance. Usually the ticket include some wine, but food you have to buy yourself. We did not eat there but I think it is quite expensive. Because the show was so interesting, I did not have the time to eat or even think about it.
Admission to the show was something about 90-100euros

The 9 pm show at the Moulin Rouge was fantastic. For about $100 (90 Euros), you will get a half bottle of champagne, which is unlike any you can get in the States, and a show that still lives up to the name "Moulin Rouge".

Moulin Rouge
This structure is an icon of Paris, a munument to a sordid and sexy past - possibly an excellent representation of the lady, Paris, as a whole.
Despite being amongst the flashing lights and gaudy colours of this street, the Boulevard de Clichy, the red vanes of the windmill are still clear to anyone wandering down the street.
Moulin Rouge obviously translates to Red Windmill, and has had a very vivid and interesting history. The recent hit movie of the same name has rekindled interest in this sight.
Unless you go inside for one of the famous cabarets, there's not a huge amount to do. You can look at it, but that's about it. :) It's worth having a look at it in passing, but make sure you have other plans for the area - after seeing this I suggest a walk through the red light district and up to Montmartre and Sacre-Coeur.

I’m not sure if this site should be here or as a tourist trap. Well…Moulin Rouge - so famous place, so famous cabaret. I didn’t expect I could see the world as it was decades ago here, but I had hope that I could find some atmosphere of those days. And here it is - small building and little red mill. Nothing else. I spent quite time here and tried to find any reason why people come here. And I didn’t. I couldn’t imagine how it looked like before. I felt disappointed and cheated. And then I started to laugh. Obviously, I was here too. Looking for the same thing as others - for lost time…
