The musee Grevin is Paris' waxworks museum. It is in a beautiful building with a lot of character. You climb a marble staircase and enter a room of mirrors - a very special effect with the lights and multiple reflections. There are numerous wax models ranging from politicians (Bush, Chirac, Putin etc), figures from the history of France (eg: Joan d'arc, Clovis etc), literary (Hemingway, Satre etc), sport (Pelle), music, models, actors, the pope, the queen etc. In fact a huge range. There's even a real actor pretending to be a model who surprises everyone! It's a little expensive - 16 euro admission - but worthwhile.

The Wax Museum is reopen since June 2002.
The presentation is now better than the prior one and the museum is now at the level of Madame Tussaud's in London.
There is a tour within the museum allowing to see the stars of sport, spectacle and cinema and also a lot of histirical characters.
2 criticisms : the pupets are messed up and one goes rapidly from Marylin Monroe to the Napoleon's family.
The "Palais des mirages" was out of order when we visited the museum. They would have to repare it during the remodling.
Price : 15 Euros. Reduction for senior (+60) and young (till 14).
On the picture : good likeness for the pope (Bush's pupet is failed. They must have worked with photographes)
