It is said that the original Statue Of Liberty is not in New York but in Paris. Very near to the Eiffel Tower, over the Seine River, there's a little island with an also little Statue Of Liberty. This statue was the pattern of Miss Liberty. The Statue Of Liberty was a present of France to the United States in 1886. It was made by French sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi. Gustave Eiffel also collaborated in the project.

It took us some time to find it, but it certainly is there
There are two replicas of the Statue of Liberty in Paris.
One is in the Jardin du Luxembourg, and the second one is near the Grenelle Bridge.
This mini Statue of Liberty can be seen of the boats along the river..............of course everything is bigger in America!!!
The replica can be found at one end of Allée des Cygnes, where it intersects with Pont de Grenelle. It faces towards the original one in New York.
This was taken from the RER train on the way back from Versailles
