Walking Around: Walking along the Seine
It is lovely to walk along the Seine. Many of the nicest buildings are built along the river, and there are good pedestrian ways. In Paris all you need is Metro and your feet to see whatevery you want to see.

Walking Around: Walk ´til you drop
Paris, City of Lights: is an experience all over. Just by walking, you can sip the energy this city has. It is hy¡uge, but easy to walk around if you bring confortable shoes and a lot of time.
Get a mao of the city and explore it by areas from 1 to 9.
I loved walking because we could stop by when we saw something interesting, such as a bakery or a small market while walking toward some important site indicated in one of our maps. I guess there are areas that are not so safe, but they will be clearly indicated in most guides and you´ll be able to avoid them. And if you get too tired, take the metro.
In the photo: a Bakery we have run into both times we´ve been in Paris.

Paris is a wonderful, safe place to walk around, taking in all the beautiful sights and buildings.

Walking Around: Walking is the best way
The best way around Paris is walking for sure. Every street is has something to see, the architecture is gorgeous ans if you don't want to miss anything, walk. Even if you don't really like to walk, you'll surprise yourself by walking miles without knowing it!

Walking Around: Walking is a great way to experience Paris
The train service is great for traveling distances. Within the sights of Paris, we enjoyed walking. The weather was beautiful and there was always something interesting to look at.

I highly discourage driving. I drove from the Airport to the hotel. When I go back to Paris, I will take a train or cab to/from the airport. The street signs are up above the 2nd floor of the buildings which makes it difficult to find the road that one should turn on. The traffic lights are down where the street signs are suppose to be. Parking can be difficult. I won't even discuss the traffic circles. The scariest part was approaching the unmarked intersections, where whoever is to the right has the right of way. It's not a 4-way stop. The person to the right - if he knows that the two streets are one-way - does not slow down. I almost got hit because I did not see a car coming toward one of these intersections.

I've driven in most of the Eastern U.S., Germany, Belgium, Holland. I will not drive in Paris again. The Parisians will probably be happy for me to stay off the streets!!!

Walking Around: Walk with eyes open..
They like to drive FAST here, I guess 'coz it's pretty crowded in the city centre and when the light turns green, you have only so much time to move on.. until the next stop.

    Walking Around: Use your Feet
Walking is the best way to get a feel of the city and its environs. All the streets have their own charm and you can find some interesting places while on foot. Central Paris isn't that big. You can get around on foot quite easily.

    Walking Around: Just walk
What I mean by this - to transport yourself around in Paris - is with a pair of good shoes and walk around. It is so nice to walk.

    Walking Around: Walk in Paris
While sightseeing in Paris, I encourage you to walk around and smell, feel, experience everything this enchanting city has to offer. When you walk by the cheese shops, you smell the rancid aroma of cheese and appreciate the idiosyncrasies of foreign food....or listen to foreign tongue of the fellow pedestrians. Walk along the alleyways... introduce yourself to the history of Paris and appreciate the hundreds of years of people, culture, food, and tradition that encompasses the "city of love".
