Your feet, don't even think about driving or getting a scooter. Parisians must get extra score points for taking out foreigners!

Getting around Paris is a snap.. my husband and i flew into Paris from two diff. parts of the world to meet there... Once there we found a cute (small) hotel the lousanne it was in the city and was near the opera dist. we did ride the tube and lets face it Paris is a town you can walk around..I mapped out the city on mapqwest and enlarged it... for bed time reading and game planning... you can devide the city into chunks of time depending how many days you have to stay we had 7... then onward to londen for 7 more...
The sean river in Paris offer boat rides that were $6 farry type.. that are narrated and very informative..youcan take these during the day and at night..it does rain there however we were there during a very hot spellin may. I love Paris and it felt right for me to be there..many people have said Paris itself isnt very clean..however i approached it another way... Paris is "very old" many people equate clean as "new".Find you a artist whom you genuinely like there work..bring home a little of Paris with you...Paintings of all the favorite..Le tour eiffel..noter dam..the louver and all from the sean river.. We were able to purchase oils..chalk..and charcole paintings for around $25 piece..only because the artist truly relised we took a genuine interest in there work..I am a designer.. i thrive to go back to Paris...the old days that went by there becken me back..and is there oh so much more to see.. let me know if i can answer any questions.

    Walking Around: Paris by foot
Walking in Paris... such a delight. It's really the only way to see the city. Unless you need to get somewhere at a certian time or it's 6 miles away, why take the Metro?

It is true that after walking past all the bridges of the Sine in Paris, you tend to find one you love and return to it over and over, just to listen to the river, think or find your moment of zen. For me, Pont Neuf was that bridge. The fascinating detail on the bridge got me lost in it many times. I could have easily spent my days just sitting and writing in my journal here.

Walking Around: Walk around streets of Paris
best way to enjoy Paris is walking the streets, Of cource the Metro is the next best thing.
Also the Batobus if you want to get the beautiful view of the city from the River Siene.

The cost to travel on the METRO is pretty reasonable. Taking a day paas is reasonable if you intend using the train from piont to point. We would take a single ride to one destination and walk our way back to the hotel.
