Puteaux is fairly central, its worth visiting or even staying in Puteaux and away from the touristy central Paris areas. It will give you a good feeling and experience of life in Paris, even though its actually a suburb of Paris.
The La Defense - Esplanade - Metro links on RER 1 are very easy to get to from Puteaux, about 5-7 mins walk.
Buses are fairly regular from Puteaux to the centre and vice versa.
Taxis are also very easy to get.

Puteaux has a wealth of small shops and restaurants. There is very little external influence and most of the shops are privately owned boutiques. So you wont see many Starbucks or Pizza huts here. A very safe district to shop in and certainly worth visiting.
Shopping high street and surrunding areas include everything from fashion , jewellery to wonderul bakeries and coffee houses.
The prices are considerably cheaper than neighbouring business district La Defense, which is only 5 minutes walk away.

If you see this sign it simply means - NO PARKING WHAT SO EVER - or you will be towed.
I have been told they take no prisoners, so simply make sure you get yourself a pay and display ticket when parking in Puteaux. Otherwise you will get a hefty fine and dont park where you see this sign unless there are exceptions clearly written as in the picture.
If you park in a residents spot or no parking areas you may find your car isnt there when you get back.
