Lovely little shop on rue Manolo that has homemade ceramic ware from decorative tiles to ashtrays to bowls and vases for flowers. Also has other local craftwork such as aprons, napkins and other decorative knick-knacks.
What to buy: I bought two of the large red flower bowls that can be seen on the left of the photo plus a two bowl stand and bowls for a little corner indoors.
What to pay: Obviously depends what you want, but I paid 40 euros each for the large bowls.

Lots of little shops with attractively dressed windows - - I guess all needs could be met here within the town.
The Presse - just past the Museum and Le Citron Bleu is excellent and sell s far more than newspapers. My husband was able to buy a very good leather watch strap there to replace the ancient one that split while we were there.
What to buy: We fancied a rather nice kitchen thermometer in a specialist Catalan shop on the opposite corner to Maria Dos.
It was fermé exeptionelle!

Ceret, a great day trip from Perpignan

Ceret was a charming find. We were staying at Canet Plage for a couple weeks exploring the area. There is a noted Beaux Arts in the town so we decided to drive up one day. This was the scene that...

I stayed in farms for the summer around the Ceret area. This was the biggest small town, it was full of english people, and i had lots of fun despite my short time in the city in between farms.
