This is a water park, full of slides, pools, etc, etc. There are numerous water slides/chutes plus a very very large pool which has a wave machine. Unlike other water parks I have visited this one does have adequate chair/recliners around (although there is a small hire charge) the main pool area, and loads of grassy areas around the slides for you to sit down. I also found it was kept very clean, and there was surprisingly very little litter around. Hot food takeaways are there, but you can take in your own food- just, for obvious reasons, no glass bottles. Not open all year. But, during summer holidays July/August can be very very busy - try not to visit then or you may spend all day just queuing up for the rides.
Children 3 and under admitted free. Lifeguards, lockers and changing facilities.

If you like fun, you can't go on holiday and not visit here. this purpose built entertainment site has something for everyone from a casino to a fairground. The fair opens up around 9 pm each night and closes around 1am. The music pumps out quite loudly, but the location is well thought out, as all the noisiness is located on its own island and not too close to the residential areas.

1 There is the appropriately named Dino Park, with its discovery trail dedicated to extinct lizards.
2 Toonland, rides and attractions for younger children based on cartoon characters.
3 Giant Mini Golf, spread over 5000 sq m, may tempt you to play on the real international golf course located nearby.
4 Fairground - not massive, but a fair amount of rides, and thrills such as bungee drops and jumps, in a compact area.
5 Casino - bet your holiday money here.

There is an aquarium which is worth visiting.
Lots of colourful fish (my daughter loved the puffy ones) and even a shark tank (my teenage son loved that).
The gift shop is ridiculously overpriced though!

Although Aqualand has a section for little children, you may prefer to visit Captain Jaks small water park if you have younger child/ren.
This is a very shallow pool with a pirate ship and various slides, swings, etc.
Great if you have a child 3-5 years of age as the entrance is much cheaper than Aqualand and you could relax while they are playing in the very shallow water.
It is also situated right by the beach, Plage du Mole.

I would really recommend visiting the museum at Agde. Although there was a lack of english signs/information around the exhibits, the staff were extremely helpful. In fact, one of the staff became our own private tour guide and between my very 'petit' french and her rather better english, we understood and enjoyed all the musuem. She even gave a gift to us as we left the musuem, a really appreciated gesture.

The musuem which was founded in 1935 by the association Escolo dau Sarret, containes the treasures of the own and features exhibits including:
1 Furniture from Chateau Laurens, a rich local man's furniture who was a lover of the arts who organised the interior decoration of his extravagant masion in Art Deco style.
2 Since ancient times, Agde has been a port, and from 18th to early 20th century captains and sailers and merchant navy were trained at the marine school. Numerous models, and paintings, etc. depict the maritime past of the town.
3 Clothing, traditional headress of Agde (the sarret) and other clothes of Agathe girls from 19th century.

There are over 14 km of sandy beaches in and around Le Cap D'Agde. These beaches have been categorised as Blue Flag beaches since 1987. If you want to avoid a crowded beach head up to the road that goes to Sete, and you will notice by the side of the road, a long sandy beach that stretches for miles. Everytime I have been there, even at peak season, there has always been plenty of room for my children to play without worrying about kicking sand on a sunworshipper!

There are some good adult orientated night clubs / saunas in Cap d Agde.

At Night in this natturist city many wear clthes but you dont have to.

In the clubs, anything goes and many are open until 6AM

If you are at all interested in ships, yachts, etc, then Le Cap D'Agde is the place for you. There are many yachts of all sizes along the harbour. Also, you can have a wander around the ship yard at the south end of the harbour where you can see the ships being repaired in dry dock. Can be an interesting walk.
