Favorite thing: Visiting Limoux in the spring you get the chance to enjoy the local carnival. Apparently it goes on for about two months, with a series of small parades around the main square. It's worthwhile trying to catch some of it.
Fondest memory: Turning up in town at about 11am on a Sunday morning and seeing the locals in the bars in the main square having their morning glasses of Blanquette, the local sparkling wine. It's definitely worth a taste, I ended up buying a couple of bottles to bring home too.
