Certain Americans (e.g the Shrub) may describe the French as cheese eating surrender monkeys - but what cheese !
And don't forget all the great pates and cured meats as well.
This little shop as a great selection and is displayed with style and artistry. They even have their own trendy liitle Smart car parked outside.
And to think : Napoleon called the British a nation of shopkeepers !
What to buy: Find some of the locally produced examples of cheeses and pates.
This shop comes very much into the 'other' category as it is a shop dedicated to bullfighting, and primarilly to the adulation of one Marc Serrano.
The shop contains some excellent works of art in various media, all on the bullfighting theme.
There are also very overpriced calendars, postcards and suchlike.
Whatever your views on the subject the artwork inspired by bullfighting certainly has some sort of 'edge' and is well worth exploring.
It is important to note that bullfighting (held in arena) comes in two forms here. The traditional 'Spanish' fights take place but also the Carmague variation where points are gained by trying to pull ribbons off the bull's horns - and the animal dosn't die !
