This is a well run birdwatching sanctuary with well kept paths, birdhides and an education centre. They also have a Mosquito control and education lab there.
They have several aviaries containing birds of prey and the owls had just had two chicks when we visited in May 2010.
There is a decent cafe where you can have a soft drink right beside one of the lakes and get a good closeup of the many different species of birds.
Once a week in season you have a quaint custom where the locals dance the typical catalan dance either in the square in the village or in the square near the beach the locals encourage holiday makers and children to join in great fun
