Lorraine is a nice place to go around by houseboat. However I recommend not to rent a boat with only two persons, that could be stressfull. And with more people it's more fun!If you go by boat, make sure that you have enough food. There are mostly only small villages on the way that don't have a grocery. And if you have bad luck, there even is no restaurant or it's closed!You can bring your bike or rent some. There are everywhere paths along the canal where you can ride by bike while the others are on the boat....
