    Certain areas are blocked off and you'd be wise not to trespass when seeing these sites. They are military sites and it is forbidden to enter. Possibly there are still bombs and mines in the area, that's why the warning states: Lethal danger.

    When walking in the forests around Verdun, you might find remains of WWI. NEVER TOUCH THEM.

    Walk in the path and never go digging or groping about in the bush. It can be tempting to bring a souvenir back home... But it could be your last one: grenades and shells were made to kill and they still do, almost 90 years later. They are not toys. People here know it, but accidents still happen.

    Let Verdun (and all wars, battles and futile fights) be a warning for the future. No-one is better then anyone else, just different ... to make a fight about these differences will only end in the destruction of us all. Look in the past and learn, may we never forget.
