There are many many souvenir shops on your way to the Lourdes Basilica. Here you will find all the information you want to know about the story of Bernadette, a shepherd girl who started the whole pilgrimage to Lourdes from all over the world!
What to buy: There are so many special items sold in these shops. Whether you believe or not, you should definitely get some water bottles here to bring home some of the "holy water" from the grotto. They have bottles in all shapes from the plain to special bottles shaped like the Virgin Mary as Bernadette claims to have appeared here. They also sell religious items of all types, rosaries, prayer cards, jewelry, holy statues, art, etc. While the majority of the items are religious, you will also find traditional gifts here.
