Aligot is a dish from Aubrac, a region of south central France, between Aveyron, Cantal and Lozère: mashed potatoes added with cream, fresh hard cheese and garlic. It is "worked" in order to make it smooth and flowing.

I do not advice to go to Mac Donald but this one is special.
Some years ago, Jose Bove, the French anti-internationalist leader, and a goup of followers went there and took down the restaurant. They consider Mc Do as the symbol of the "mal-bouffe" (bad food), the US power and the internationazation of the society.

Favorite Dish: The ''trenel'' millavois is a close relative to the tripoux from Auvergne. It is made of seasoned mutton tripes, cooked until very smooth.
