Last day -- Obanos to Pamplona

by into-thin-air

Last day -- Obanos to Pamplona, 21k (This was an extra day that we decided to do to go back to Pamplona, we had already walked this route in the opposite direction whilst walking The Camino Frances 6 years before !!) Wonderful day on Good paths and minor roads, Up at first as far as the ridge then downhill most of the way into Pamplona. Plenty of fountains en-route to replenish your water -- Another wonderful day with Great views approaching Pamplona

8th day -- Monreal to Obanos

by into-thin-air

8th day -- Monreal to Obanos, 28k (his is where The Camino Aragones joins the Camino Frances) Yet another day on Good paths and minor dirt roads, The 1st 10k is Very Undulating as you have to cross some Steep gullies then fairly gentle as far as Tiebas which is a good bet for a late breakfast or an early lunch stop with a good bar near the church, There are also bars at Campanas, Biurrun, Uscar and Eneriz is Plenty of choices this day !! Also Plenty of fountains en-route to replenish your water -- Another wonderful day with good views and interesting villages en-route

by into-thin-air

7th day -- Sanguesa to Monreal, 26k Yet another day on Good paths and minor dirt roads, predominantly uphill for the 1st 9k to the top of the Alto de Aibar but you will be well rewarded by the excellent views then undulating for a while to Izco then mainly downhill to Monreal. Some fountains en-route to replenish your water -- Another wonderful day with more great views of the surrounding countryside on Very Plenty routed paths and minor roads

6th day -- Ruesta to Sanguesa

by into-thin-air

6th day -- Ruesta to Sanguesa, 21k Another day on Good paths and minor dirt roads, Quite a pull and a fair hight gain for the 1st 4k then predominantly down hill for the rest of the day all the way into Sanguesa, Only one lunch stop at Undues de Lerda and the bar might well be closed even then so best to pack something just in case !! Only one fountain en-route and that's in Undues de Lerda to replenish your water -- So make sure your bottle is full when you leave here !! -- Another wonderful day with some great views of the surrounding countryside

5th day -- Arres to Ruesta

by into-thin-air

5th day -- Arres to Ruesta , 26k including slight detour to Artieda for lunch, Another nice start to the day on Good paths, a fairly level day with no nasty surprises. A bit of a pull up to Artieda for lunch but that's your best option other than to pack your own !!.
