Learn some of the words to some hits by Charles Aznavour or Joe Dassin so you can sing along with everyone in the clubs! Whether you learn them ahead of time or during your stay, don't leave without singing outloud over a few drinks! You will love me, I promise.

No matter what, TIPPING is appreciated everywhere, I'm from Montreal so giving 15% along with the tab is the minimum. Because there is already a service tax included on the bill, leaving an extra 5-10% is more than enough.
If you have been to a certain establishment more than a few times and really enjoyed the atmosphere and peeps, get creative, give them some currency from where you're from, a football jersey or whatever.

    Occitan

by iaint Written Mar 20, 2014

Bilingual street signs are new since I lived here. Good to see.

I'm used to English/Gaelic bilingual signage in parts of Scotland.

Not sure how much Occitan is spoken theses days.

It's not a very touristic place. You won't find a lot of giftshops, touristic attractions (or tourist trap!). You'll have to live like a toulousain, and that's what's wonderfull! very relaxing!
