L'Occitania: Restaurant on the Canal du Midi
This is a typical French peniche boat doing cruises on the Canal du Midi and also a restaurant. Wonderful way to make a stop in your journey and relax with a nice ride and meal.
I could have put in other thread but the resto on the canal du midi is much better in restaurant section.
It is 28,5 meters long, 5,3 meters wide,and 130 tons, carrying 90 passengers from the embarcadère Bayard, facing the train station gare Matabiau
Favorite Dish: the menu changes a bit but the menu capitaine is the one we had with bar fish, a dish of several local cheeses and dessert du chef or day dessert.for Lunch

Boat restoring on the Canal du Midi and Garonne: L'Occitania
It is in July 1990, after 4 months and 6000 working hours, that the maritime yards of Sees, in the department of Orne, put me to the world.
Measuring 30 - meter long and 5 - meter 40 large, I weigh about 150 tons.
With regard to the rest of my measurements, I have a draught (left immersed) of 1 meter 20 and a strap of air (left out of water) of 3 meters 50.
I possess a capacity of maximal welcome of 90 passengers, including the crew composed of 6 people.
It is on the Channel of the South of France that you will be able to see me all year round sailing with the current. It also happens to me, according to the imperatives meteorological and other prefectorial authorizations, to sail on the Garonne.
