This is a parade where all the floats are covered in lights. It is absolutely beautiful. Anyone going to Disneyland for the first time must stay around long enough to see it. It starts at 7:30 pm. A parade which is a collage of light, music and magically transforming floats.
Just dress warm enough !!! It was freezing cold there by 7:30 pm so a warm coat; hat and mitts are a must. Leave a Comment Theme: Family SpotDirections: The parade takes place down Main Street through to the Central Plaza.

Evening river tours by susaninri Walking along the Seine at night is a treat. The City of Lights puts on its finest and sparkles with a million amber and white lights. The Eiffel Tower now is fully illuminated and has a beacon at the top like a lighthouse. The monuments are beautiful and the Place de Concorde and L'ouvre are enchanting to see. What is perhaps commonplace for the Parisians was a wonder for us on a clear cool evening! Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Le Petit Journal by Paul2001 Le Petit Journel St. Michel is a very popular jazz bar that attracts both tourist and locals. In fact both times that I visited the place I ended sitting amongst Americans, so I can say that it has become very touristy indeed. The fact that it is very close to the Latin Quarter helps this. The jazz you hear here can be very broad. The first time I visited, the music was more experimental. On my second visit the jazz was of a Dixieland variety. The bar also serves as a restaurant but as I have never eaten here, I cannot give a critique on the food.

Moulin Rouge by beatle74 After the movie... I've really started the real story behind the shows.... Moulin Rouge locates in the Montmartre are.... under the day light this area looks like unobstructed place....but when the sun disappers......Montmartre becomes a real fairground. You should have seen the Mc Donald's in there.....it's really strange to have a Big mac on red leather seats!!! :) Leave a Comment Theme: Nightclub

'Le Bouille' by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec by Elodie_Caroline If you're ever visiting Paris, then, 'Le Moulin Rouge' has got to be a must see for anyone who is serious about visiting France hasn't it. It first opened on October 5th 1889 and was managed by Joseph Oller and Charles Zidler. Although standing in the Montmartre region, which had around 80 windmills there at the time, Le Moulin Rouge was painted red and became a landmark and a symbol of joie de vivre -The joy of life, in Paris at that time. The Moulin Rouge was the meeting of the high style of life, a theatre, a concert hall and a dance hall all at the same time. This famous place was also the haunt of the artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec who painted the picture, 'Le Bouille', meaning The Glutton. The pic is the Moulin Rouge's most notorious dancer, Louise Weber. She used to drink anyone under the table and she used to pinch men's hats with her toes whilst dancing on the table tops.
Split crutch knickers or no knickers at all! A fact not widely written about... I heard it on the radio, is: The female dancers doing the Can Can danced either in split crutch knickers or no knickers at all, I guess that's why this place was always so popular eh, I hope they remembered to wash, especially if fish was on the menu! (hmm, maybe that's where the french word Piscine comes from? Here's a few great links to look at: LeMoulinRouge (en Français) MoulinRougeHistory MoulinRouge I love this one below, it shows what real sexy women should look like, and what real men appreciated in those times, rather than the stick insects with bodies of young boys that a lot of men covet now!

Caveau de la Huchette in Paris' Latin Quarter by Paul2001 The Caveau de la Huchette is an extremely popular jazz bar that seems to be popular with both locals and tourist. The clientele was about fifty-fifty when I was there. The bar is on the mainfloor while in the basement, which looks like an old wine cellar, is where the band plays. There is a large dancefloor surrounded by tiers of benches where you can enjoy yourself watching other people dance if you do not want to join in on the fun. When I was there, the quality of the dancers was quite good and it was a pleasure to watch.

by gilljay When visiting Brittany, the sunset from the beaches can't be beaten. Sit at a quayside cafe with a bottle of wine and enjoy! If a club is what you would prefer, they can be found in a field in the middle of nowhere where the noise won't disturb anyone else. The general friendly ambience. Before long a conversation will have been struck with the table next to you, wine will get shared and the language barriers disappear.
Smart/casual but comfortable. Leave a Comment Theme: Live MusicDirections: Any quayside or beach restaurant.
