What a difference to the poor showing at Crécy just a few miles down the road. As you enter Agincourt the roads are lined with representations of archers and knights.

There is a visitor centre with ample clean parking, no graffiti at all. The centre uses audio visual equipment and “characters” on screens to describe the events leading up to the battle and the battle itself.

On the upper floor are some hands-on pieces of equipment so that you can try out how hard it was to actually load and fire an English longbow of the period.

Entry to the centre and exhibition is €6.50 per adult.

Absolutely well worth the entry fee.
