Favorite thing: On the Place de la République you will find the hugue museum of beautiful art, which is the 2nd museum of France after the Louvre With 22.000 m2 of space. The building is not just interesting because of the art that is inside, but also because of the architecture. During the recent renovation they have put an extra building towards the old part, that is made from glass and is reflecting the old building. You can find paintings from the flamish school and dutch paintings of the XVth and XVIIth century, Spanish and French paintings, Venitian paintings from the XVIth to the XXth century; a collection of sculptures and some german art as well. They even have old maps and reliefs of North-European cities.
