Thats meant to be one of the best clubs in Lille...I wouldnt call it exactly classy but hey thats a good spot to have a good time
Thats quite a soiree after the annual festival 'la braderie' so as u could see everyone is merry and wicked dressed:)
As its very close (45 minutes by car) and Belgium proved so many times more lively than Lille, more liberal, cheaper, better in terms of house music and international crowd, I loved to spend my weekend clubbing in Pecq, Tournai, Courtrai.
Heres some suggestions:
H2O, The bush, The zoo.
Some of the cons are though drinking (even if lightly consuming alcohol) and driving in the morning and the junkies (some cases of dead people due to consumption of liquid ecstasy or white stuff)..
Dress Code: Whatever you feel like.
There is one major street in central Lille that has a selection of small bars, themes or foreign, restaurants from Greek to Chinese. You're looking for rue Solferino! It's actually not that far from the centre Grand Place, can walk there within 20 mins.
Such bars include, the Highlmander Pub, where you can drink sweet blonde beer and even have someone put coloured syrups in it, a favourite for ladies!
Snooker Palace is a favourite for those who may want a little rave at the same time as playing a little snooker or billiards. Most cmubs here are in fact bars with a dance floor they are quite small but often get ram packed by students from the many grande ecoles and universities in the city. If you are not of this age group and prefer to have a tranquil evening in a more prestigious area, you may be better of staying in the old town, at least while its term time for the students!
Dress Code: Lilleois are very laid back with their dressing, in fact a lot of people go out in the clothes they were early in the day. You can spot the tourists as they are the ones that usually make an effort to dress up, much to their surprise on getting there and perhaps feeling slightly overdressed!
Women, especially British or North American ladies may be particularly surprised at the attitude to women wearign skirts, be careful if you like to wear risqué clothing, its not well appreciated here, as much as in Paris. You may get a few unpleasant comments, best to play it by ear with a nice top and jeans, until you feel confortamble enough to dress like the locals.
bit too hot bit too naf but considering the prices (60 euros one bottle) you might enjoy your night.
