Place Louis de Bettignies, Lille
Until the 18th century, this place was a bustling little harbour. It was the river Deule that brought the boats up till here. Nowadays, there is nothing that reminds you of the harbour. There are some typical houses in Flemish baroque with nice decorations and the old building on the right is the backside of Hospice Comtesse.
Louis de Bettignies was a WWI hero.
