Christian de Portzamparc was the architecht of this very modern new landmark of Lille.
The L-Shaped Credit Lyonnais Tower, better known as the -ski boot-, perches above the Eurostar station, so its easy to find as you step off Eurostar.
Lille has some amazing old architecture, but also has its fair share of more modern and quirky buildings.
This bizarre building is located at Gare Lille Europe (the Eurostar Terminal).
We were quite taken with this giant boot looking office block, and spent a bit of time taking photos.
: )
The Credit Lyonnais tower above the station is known locally as the 'Ski Boot' and this huge glass and chrome building is actually an office block.
