Roubaix - Leers - Leers-Nord - Evregnies - Dottignies - St Denijs - Boussuit - Escannaffe - Mont de l'Enclus (Controle) - Amougies - Bue - Vieille Motte - Arc-Watripont - Popuelles - Velaines - Mourcourt - Col de la Croix Jubaru - Kain (Controle) - Ramegnies-Chin - Nechin - Leers - Lys-Lez-Lannoy - Roubaix
Route for the 120 km:
Roubaix - Leers - Leers-Nord - Evregnies - Dottignies - St Denijs - Boussuit - Escannaffe - Mont de l'Enclus (Controle) - Amougies - Zulzeke - Nukerke - Maarkedal - Beaufeau - Tombelle - Semenil - Beau Site - Saint Sauveur (Controle) - Bue - Vieille Motte - Arc-Watripont - Popuelles - Velaines - Mourcourt - Col de la Croix Jubaru - Kain (Controle) - Ramegnies-Chin - Nechin - Leers - Lys-Lez-Lannoy - Roubaix
As you can see this trip goes in the direction of Belgium, 50 km direction of Doornik/Tournai, 80 km direction of Ronse/Renaix and the 120 km direction of St Sauveur.

On Sunday 26th of September 2004, Le Velo Club De Roubaix Cyclotourisme organised the Cycling trip "Monts et Moulins" (Mountains (read hills) and Mills).
There were 3 different distances: 50 - 80 and 120 km.
Departure was from 0.730 till 09.30 in the Centre Aere, Parc des Sports de Roubaix.
And as cycling is a very popular sport in this northern region of France, there were a lot of cyclists, French and Belgians.

I'm referring to the cycle race of course not the place. Although the name Hell of the North was used to describe the area after the first world war when there wasn't a tree of a house left standing....
