Sangatte Transportation

Dont fancy driving, do you prefer a glass of wine or beer? then why not try the local bus, No 9 from Sangatte to Calais and back!!!

Ne fantaisie affaiblies, préférez -vous un verre de vin ou bière? alors pourquoi ne pas essayer le bus locaux, n° 9 du centre de Calais et retour!!!

The bus runs on Mondays to Saturdays ONLY, not on Sundays or public holidays.
Le bus fonctionne sur lundi au samedi SEULEMENT, pas le dimanche ou les jours fériés.

It took us quite a while to cover the mere 14.5 kms from Calais to Sangatte (Cap Blanc-Nez). There was a cycling rally going on which had us detouring the tiny country roads all the time. After a while we were in the middle of it! Driving behind one equipe and another behind us. Oops!

Driving along the countryside, near Calais, you can see those giant ferries almost towering over the landscape.

From Calais it is 14.4 kms to Sangatte, where Cap Blanc-Nez is situated. Here's a map.
