It appears that trains from Calais only stop at Wimille/Wimereux on Saturdays!! There is a bus stop opposite the station where you can pick up a 'Div'In' double decker bus No 9 which takes the scenic coastal road to W/W - but the timetables aren't very informative and none of the bus drivers seemed to have much information. In fact we only managed to get a bus to take us as far as Cap Blanc Nez, which was good enough as time was short and tickets only cost 1 €!!
There's plenty of walking tracks on the headlands and down to the sandy beaches. The scenery there is rural and panoramic and the monument overlooking the sea, dedicated to the Dover Patrol, faces its twin 22 miles away on the opposite side of the Channel at St Margaret's near Dover, which should be visible on a clear day. I believe there is yet another identical monument somewhere in the States. We had a lovely day, even tho the only restaurant at Cap Blanc Nez wasn't anywhere near as good as the one in Wimille!!

The restraunt is in the hotel we stayed at, it is in its own courtyard and quiet and welcoming
Favorite Dish: We had the fixed price dinner - exellent value at 19 euro each. starter was a hot tuna mousse with a tomato coulis which was like heaven in your mouth, for the entree we had steak with pepper sauce done to perfection and for pudding was a raspberry concoction which was delicious
