When the English were occupying Calais and its coast around the XVIth century, they gave the name of “White Sand” to the village we know today as Wissant... In memory of his childhood in the dunes of Wissant, the brewer Christophe Noyon chose to name one of his beer Blanche de Wissant.
I saw people eating pancakes that seemed really tasty... too bad we were not hungry anymore.
