Visited 29/11/ 10. It was a very cold day, we only stopped for a beer & glass of wine, It was so warm & friendly place we stayed for three. Lady who served us speaks good English. Nice little resort will go back in summer, Its only 30 min drive from Calais. Has one of the best beaches I've seen.
Favorite Dish: Did not eat here ,but would in future.

As the rain started to fall heavily, we had no choice but to get in somewhere to get dry... A hot chocolate would have been great, but a good Belgian has to taste local beers :-) So we tried the Bière de Wissant and Bière des deux Caps.
When the English were occupying Calais and its coast around the XVIth century, they gave the name of “White Sand” to the village we know today as Wissant... In memory of his childhood in the dunes of Wissant, the brewer Christophe Noyon chose to name one of his beer Blanche de Wissant.
Favorite Dish: I saw people eating pancakes that seemed really tasty... too bad we were not hungry anymore.

Snack "Le Pique-Nique" offers delicious schrimp sandwiches that you can either take away or eat on the spot. Fries, hamburgers, etc... are also served there, but we wanted something more typical of the coast. Well I was first astonished at the price (4,50 euros each), but this sandwich was huge !! It is one of the best I ever ate !

Charming Wissant, nested between the two Caps

On this rainy day of July, we really had a need of escaping somewhere... So we thought about this little village on the Côte d'Opale where my boyfriend used to go when he was a little boy. No matter...

Made a day trip with my husband and my parents to Wissant, close to Calais, just to go to eat good mussels and frittes. Excellent food!
