Anything big enough to pack your wardrobe in Anything not less than $5000 per garment CK, Giorgio Armarni, etc Your assistant Your 90foot cruiser. Mine is in this photo. Money to throw to all the tourists for a jolly good laugh

Take a suitcase and maybe a backpack for some snacks or water. Make sure you have long, as well as short pants since the weather can change drastically from one day to the next. Check out the forecast before you go. Email someone that lives there. Bring some washcloths or towels. Maybe you should bring a blowdrier, since most European hotels are not equipped with either of these necessities. Always bring extra batteries. Bring any medication you migh need. Especially some sort of travel pills if you need them.
I go usually go over to the South of France for a long weekend and stay with friends so I take my luggage in a handcarry sized duffle. My capsule wardrobe consists of 2 bikinis, 2 pairs of trousers, 2 tops (casual), 1 cardigan or pashmina, 2 dresses, flipflops or trainers, and a pair of dressy sandals.I have found this covers me for every eventuality from casinos, dinners and dancing to strolling around the town and lounging at the beach. Travel size shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, 3 in one wipes which cleanse/tone/moisturise and a hair brush. Lip balm and sun tan lotion and a scrunchy should never be out of reach.

Backpack of course...especially since the metros in Paris don't have those places to slide your luggage through, you have to lift it over the turnstiles with you. Paris is COLD and RAINY in January. It was tough since I was going to be going through several different climates, and I was going to be spending most of my time in warmer areas, I didn't really pack too many warm things.....so I caught a cold and was really sick for a few days where my wonderful travel partner at the time took care of me. Nice and soft tissues for when you get sick
Just normal ones... Don't forget dry underware after taking a bath in the sea or whereever. Oh,oh, you know, AIDS is everywhere. See warnings and dangers and just start running. none Umbrella in wintertime.
Our latest trip to Paris was just a month ago, arriving February 15,the weather was cold, rainey, and windy. We were happy to have warm clothing. However, just 10 days or so later we were back in Paris (after a visit to the U.K.) and we walked around the streets of Paris in the evening with just a sweater as our outer garment and the weather was quite enjoyable. I guess this just says the conditions can change pretty quickly so you should just be prepared. This is a photo taken just across the square from Notre Dame and we definitely needed our coats, scarfs and mittens (an umbrella would have been nice)for that afternoon..but nothing can take away from the thrill of Paris and all it has to offer.

Visitors to France do not need to obtain any inocculations. Electrical Appliances France has 220-volt 50-hertz electrical service. Before you leave, check whether your electric shavers, travel irons, hair dryers, or other personal appliances will operate at the higher voltage. If not, you must buy new appliances or bring a voltage converter/transformer. Dual-voltage hair dryers are quite easy to find, and electric shavers are often dual-voltage, so you may not need a transformer. Remember that outlet prongs are shaped differently. France uses European-style plugs, having two round pins and requiring the use of mechanical plug adapters for appliances from different countries. These are inexpensive and available from most types of shop. Keep in mind, however, that plug adapters are not electrical converters; they just adapt the plug so it can be connected. For the French Riviera, be sure to bring shoes for the beach such as comfortable tennis shoes or sandals as well as shoes for dressing up and going out and, finally shoes for hiking. That's a lot of shoes, but it will be worth it! Definitely bring suncreen - and lots of it - and a high SPF - if you plan to spend time on the beach. While there are topless public beaches, there is no need to go topless, so feel free to bring bathing suits with or without tops. Plus, there may always be the occasional beach that does not allow topless bathing, so be prepared, though in the French Riviera this is unlikely!
Depending on how you travel, depending on where you travel in France, Which time of year it is. France has a very differential climate looking from north to south and from west to east. So inform yourself about the climate and adjust. Everything is for sale in shops and pharmacies. You cannot import all kinds of medicine yourself. So if you need anything special, inform yourself and be sure to have a subscription from your MD to go with your medicine. Everything is for sale in the shops. Do take pictures! We like to see them in VT! In swimmingpools, the French do not like you to use the boxershort kind of bading suit (for men). You will have to use tights.Topless sunbading is not allowed everywhere. On most beaches you can, but in other places you have to take a look around you. So take a look at my Nice page to have a taste of the south of France
