Palace of the Bishops of Maillezais

A stately mansion surrounded by a stone wall, the former palace of the Bishops of Maillezais. During our holiday in this region, we also visited the abbey at Maillezais itself. The ruins of the abbey are to be found in the southern part of the Vendee.
