Bring along a backpack or sportsbag. It's more handy on a campground then a suitcase.

Dress lightly in summer, but always bring along a pair of long trousers, a sweater, some good walking shoes and a light coat. Because in the evening the temperature might be a little lower then at brought daylight.

Bring suncream and anti mosquito cream.

    Film is available here.

Campgrounds are nearby Nantes. For more information see my accomodation tips and TRAVELLOGUE!
You might want to bring along a sleepingbag...

  • I don't know if it is typical of Nantes, but I studied abroad there in the spring of 2001 & it rained a lot. We often times compared the weather to Seattle. Definitely don't go there without an umbrella. It may not be quite as bad during other times of the year, but I wouldn't consider going to Nantes without an umbrella.

Rain is an important word in Nantes.

Nantes could definitely contests as one of France's rainiest place.

I remember the long long autumn and winter months when rain was falling on a pretty daily basis. If it does not rain in Nantes every day, it is a good thing. Otherwise, it is natural.

So, be aware that when you travel to Nantes between from October to March-April, you may have rainy days.

Good point is that it is never really cold there. Rare when days are under 5 degrees.
