    The abandoned village is now a museum which allows you to see how the people, the troglodytes, lived until fairly recently. This was a community of two ancient farms and you can go in all the different properties; some are furnished dwellings, some are barns, there's a village oven etc... There is information all around and it's a rather interesting place. You can either take a tour or take yourself around.

    There's a very old church across the way

    We happened across Rouchemenier but it's located 6km north of Doue via D761

    The underground cave homes in the Loire Valley, north of Tours and south of Fougeres. I forget exactly where these caves were, but we were able to tour these unique homes that were built in hollowed-out caves in the soft limestone ground.
