Restaurant on the old RN1 as you enter Abbeville from the north. Access is not as easy as the local council have put a large road divider to stop you turning left!!
At the moment the "menu" is €13 for starter, main course, cheese course and dessert and incudes wine with the meal.
We had egg mayonaise and pate for starters followed by beef bourgignon for my wife and I had choucroute. All well cooked and excellent. Large portions so be aware!

A very disappointing experience.
Food?
Let's see... Menu at €21. What we had.
Starter? Pig's Head Pate... more like English "brawn" - lumps of tasteless meat in jelly or hors d'oevres grated veggies that even the most cretinous couldn't mess up.
Main Course - Pepper Steak? Gristly brown meat hidden under brown sauce with peppercorns. About 50% was edible or Veal, not so brown lump with a bone (!) and the same brownish sauce but no peppercorns.
Cheese? Er what cheese, never saw it and too p*ssed off to bother after slogging through the offal we had been presented with.
Dessert? Ile Flottant. Excellent.
Coffee? Now who could mess that up?

Lots to do. Pleasant place. Good base.

Abbeville was knocked flat in the second world warbecause it was a centre for the French resistance. It is mostly architecturally unexciting, having been rebuilt as a grand project in the 40-50s. But...

Abbeville: A delightful little town in France.

Enjoyed my weekend here in town. Was able to walk to everything from downtown. Had many historical monuments. St. Vulfran Cathedral is located in the town. It was one of the few buildings left...

I have ridden through the city on a few occasions and only ever stopped to get petrol, never having stayed before. Since they built the A16, even the petrol stop has moved! So to actually stay there...
