    Great food.

Serving regional food this restaurant in the town of Corbie is excellent for a lovely evening out. The house wine is of good quality as was the food and ambience.

The beef with foie gras was a good choice for the main course and I can thoroughly recommend the nougatine ice cream with raspberry coulis for dessert!

The local brasserie not only serves up excellent food and drink but the locals realy make you feel welcome too. Just about to leave at the end of the evening and we were offered more drinks to stay! The landlord is a lovely chap and encouraged us to stay and chat with the other people.

The pancake stuffed with ham and cheese was mouthwatering as was the huge tuna salad.

It's a homey family style restaurant, complete with country style decor and a really cute upstairs dining room. The waiters are friendly, there is a great view of the Cathedral, and an outdoor terrace in the summer.

The crepes there are so good!! My favorite is the seafood crepe filled with shrimp, crab, fish, etc. After that have a honey and nut dessert crepe or chocolate and banana crepe! So delicious!!

  • I would recommend the Restaurant Les Marissons, in the Quartier Saint Leu.
As any other French city, Amiens is full of brasseries that offer regional and moder cuisine at reasonable prices (choose a formule or day menu with different possibilities).

  • food is well prepared the old fashion way, entirely decorated with utensils of the kitchen on the walls as well as different menus, a work of art. THe food is right behind it, locals favorites ,and mine when passing by the town .

Menus from 17 and 27 euros

Dishes change every day, so look up menus but they are all good, the food is serve to you in slate dishes...!!! No web aunthentic French food, by your local guide pedmar ::)

l’andouillette grillée à la graine de moutarde ,ok translation , sausage type of the area in mustard seeds, delicious, and little producers wines to taste at good prices too

  • I had a cheese, sausage and mushroom crepe (7€). Louisa and I shared a carafe of white wine (7.50€). The crepe was good but I expected the sausage to be similar to an Italian sausage, not like hotdogs! Total. 10.75€.

  • service non existant. Food below average. you wait 30 min to be offered an apperitif and then after you finish it - at least 15 min later you are given the menu. A glass of champagne or wine costs nearly the same as the ritz but you dont have a waiter that is polite or knows what they are doing. in fact the waitress doesnt ven know the specials or have a recommendation without running back to the kitchen. Sommelier what a laugh no idea - the same for the "fromage" person. 200euro for 2 people ok if you have quality but here a waste. the first time the michelin guide has been wrong. Do yourself a favour dont visit this restaurant - you will be totally disappointed. only redeeming feature the location

    food below average

    The sun was shining gently...
We already had visited some great spots but
started to feel a bit hungry.
The 'quai Bélu ' is full of restaurants.
The terraces in front these little colorful
    houses looked very tempting.

They advertised with this great bread they served.
The flour was molded by asses and baked
in an oven stoked by wood.
It tasted good but had quit a hard structure.

What we chose was on the suggestion board.
Two sorts of cold roast , sliced very fine.
Served with a salad , potatoes , vegetables
    with a very tasty vinaigrette.

    Simple , but fantastic.
O , before I forget... the cocktail maison.
It was without alcohol and tasted fantastic.
I couldn't tell what was in it.
    4 euro..but who cares. ;^-)
And the nice vieuw and atmosphere were for free.
The lady of the house pampered us.

This was a small cafe inside the Carrefour complex, perfect for a drink and a sandwich after a hard day looking for bargains in the main store. I liked the fact that you could park your trolleys in the big wide aisle and not get in anyone's way.

It's typical small French cafe style, waiter service, local people indulging in banter, but I missed the street outside and perhaps being in a town square.

You can expect to pay 1,70 for a creme coffee, 3,70 for a croque monsieur (cheese on toast) or 2,40 for a roastbeef sandwich.

I love the bread they do the croques on, it just tastes better than ordinary bread.

Nothing stunning, foodwise, but reasonably priced and it was clean.

If you are lucky enough to experience Le Macassar (bed and breakfast) the owners will no doubt tell you about this restaurant. Situated about 5 minutes drive in the next village to Corbie (about 20 minutes from Amiens) The owners of the b&b have an agreement with the restaurant owners that one takes you there and the other brings you back - Great, you can all drink and not worry about the driving!
The food is all freshly prepared and the menus range from about 20 Euro for 4 courses.
The wine is excellent too although after the first time I did opt for a more expensive one the second time and must admit it was much better.

I opted for the langousitne salad to start and the fillet of beef with various potato patties to go with it.
