Mers-les-Bains Things to Do

We only spent about half an hour here, and we just walked around a little bit. From the beach you have a splendid view on the surrounding cliffs, and inside the town you can see lots and lots of crazy houses: old villas painted in beautiful colours.
Mers-les-Bains Warnings and Dangers
Try to avoid the restaurant/cafe/hotel called le Parisien which is on the main Plaza one block in from the boardwalk because they will overcharge you then try to keep the change and then argue with you about it. I was charged three and a half dollars - two and one half euros - for some hot water, which was bad enough but when I gave the waitress a ten euro bill to pay for it the waitress asked me three or four times if I wanted change (NO, I WANT to pay thirteen dollars for half a cup of hot water), I suppose hoping that I would not realize what a sweet tip that would be. Luckily for me I speak French rather well (having been educated in their country) so I got my change and complained to the owner about the charge and the attempt to make 21/2 become 10 but he immediately started yelling at me to not bother him with "my problem" and to get lost so I left. Spend your money elsewhere.Related to:
