How to come in and out Beauvais

by gwened Written Aug 5, 2014

I have tips on the airport and Disneyland Paris to Beauvais so this one is on the rest of the transport options here in Beauvais.

I usually come by car, from Paris the easiest is to take the A15 direction Rouen and then road N84 direction Ile d'Adam to hook up with the A16 to Beauvais to avoid the Paris traffic. If traffic is not in rush hours or weekend you can leave directly from Paris on the A1 to airport CDG, but go in at the N1 direction Saint Denis, which becomes the A16 by ile d'Adam continue direction Beauvais.
    www.viamichelin.com
will help with the route planning if not the same as I ,as I am used to do this many times. For traffic check out
    www.v-trafic.com

other connection on roads are the N 31 / D 1031 same road serving the Normandie and Champagne régions; N 1 / D 1001 and A16 as mentioned above and the A1 South to Paris and north

signals panels for parking in the city , parking garages, as well as the map of the free city center bus is here

Saint Quentin is nice to park. by the parking around Rue du grénier à sel is better. this is a pdf file to pring for all city center and parking info

    http://www.beauvaisis.fr/transport/le-reseau-corolis/69-ligne-12-mairie-za-des-tilleuls-tille-aeroport.html

you have a complete public transport site SMTCO for the whole region where you can calculate your itineraries very easy and in English too
    http://www.oise-mobilite.fr/index.asp

you have a yellow vélo bike service on the town from 1€ per day, there is a Customer service for the general public in city center just a few meters from the hôtel de ville,in the street rue desgroux, and there is cyclable lanes right from there; the taking and returning bikes are only done at this center open Mondays,Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays from 8h30-10h30, and 16h30-18h30, and Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9h-12h and 14h-18h. nice low cost airlines airport-Beauvais

by gwened Updated Jun 8, 2014

a convenient way to see Europe low cost especially ryanair is there. the schedules, rules, etc are tight but if on a budget is a great alternative. Not my cup of airline but here is more to get you to Paris

You take the navette bus from Beauvais airport to porte maillot , and then to gare du nord, you take the metro way is line 1 at porte maillot direction chateau de vincennes , stop at Chatelet and there take line 4 metro direction porte de clignancourt to stop gare du nord

    or

better from the palais des congres at porte maillot on the side of bd Général Koenig take bus no 43 to place Franz Liszt and walk to gare du nord in 4 minutes.
for 1,70 euros. and see more of Paris above ground

Le Crotoy to disneyland Paris et al.

by gwened Written Jan 20, 2013

well in that area I use the car, so best is to ask the tourist office in Le Crotoy for that information at
    contact@tourisme-crotoy.com

other than that I see you can have a train by getting by taxi to Noyelles sur Mer taxi mob tel +33 (0) 6 16 66 01 93. then take the train to Paris gare du Nord: then take the RER E1 to Val de Fontenay and then the RER A to disneyland, better than going to inner paris on Chatelet.
    train schedules at http://www.ter-sncf.com/Regions/Picardie/fr/Default.aspx

you can do it by bus from Le Crotoy to Noyelles sur Mer on line 9 , this is the bus of the region and go to line 9 for the schedule
    http://www.trans80.fr/horaire.html
about 3€ ride. then the same above by train to Paris gare du nord and disneyland

from beauvais to disneyland there is VEA bus service to the parks
    http://vea.fr/
by taxi from Le Crotoy to Beauvais should be available but do not know the prices. The above number or the tourist office can tell you some estimates.

    hope it helps

moving in the Oise dept region of Picardie

by gwened Written Apr 4, 2012

Creil is an ok town in Picardie, dont know your interests. The transport by train is ok from Paris, about 30 mins best time, and by car too. the best schedules are obtained here
    http://www.ter-sncf.com/Regions/picardie/Fr/Se_deplacer_en_TER/Avant_mon_voyage/Recherche_d_itineraires/Default.aspx

have it in schedules/itineraires. Once you choose your times and dates will revert back to voyages-sncf for the payment and tickets ;E-ticket is best no need to validate ,only inside the train by the inspector.

Buses is not, its another department and region from Paris so those are not well established here yet. Public transport in the Oise department is here
    http://www.oise-mobilite.fr/
it ,also has choices outside like going to Paris but revert you to the train.

weather now is lovely 15C sunny, there, and looks like for the rest of the holiday coming up Easter.
    HOpe it helps
