This place has a great selection of cognacs and is a good introduction to the world of spirits.
It is a two story building in the heart of the city of Cognac.
It's a brasserie, but I've been frequently visiting this place only for sitting in the bar tasting different cognacs. However I've tried the food once and it's also worth dining here compared to the neighbouring places.
Favorite Dish: I can't say I have a favoruite as I've only tasted the steak once, but the menu is traditional French focusing on seafood. It's not competing with some of the gastronomic restaurants in town, but has a style of it's own.
This restaurant is located in the hotel we stayed at (see hotel review).
We had a delicious 3 course meal here and a great bottle of Bordeaux.
It wasn't cheap, but worth it.
Restaurant has a terrace with views over the valley
There are restaurants all over cognac, remember that like the Spanish they like to close in the afternoon and re-open in the evening. The menus were varied and the predominant flavour was locally produced and fresh, the best of everything.
Favorite Dish: I saw this amazing ham slicing machine through the window of street side restaurant.
