DSwede 1654 reviews

Francois Freres is a quality fabricant de parapluies (maker of umbrellas). Being a handmade craft, passed on from artist to apprentice, this store deals solely on the craft of keeping you dry.

They make their own umbrellas and may even make custom if you have the patience. They also specialize in repairing umbrellas too if you happen to have one with sentimental value.

The fabrics vary in type, including economical plastics, through high grade reinforced canvas.

The ribs are typically made out of durable and flexible carbon fiber, so they will not bend or break like metallic ones.

What to buy: They have economical, compact umbrellas. They also have large walking style with hooked handles. They have symmetrical and asymmetrical. You name it, they will probably have it.
They have an array of patters, shapes, colors and sizes.

What to pay: Prices start at 15Eur for basic and upwards of 200Eur for custom

Marche Plus: Buying groceries in city center

2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

DSwede 1654 reviews

There are lots of shops in Poitiers where you can buy your bread, wine, cheese, etc. In typical fashion, the majority of these are individual shops. While prices may be reasonable, the chance that they are more expensive is greater.

Marche Plus is a reasonable priced general grocery store. You can buy all of your food and drink here much cheaper than going to all the other specialty stores.

What to buy: You can buy all foods and drinks. Ingredients to make dinner, a picnic or just a snack.

What to pay: Much less than the specialty stores.
