North of Bonnieux not very far away is Pont Julien - an old bridge from the Roman empire.
It is impressive that cars actually still drive on it - although it is too narrow for two cars to pass each other.
It looked as though they were building a new bridge next to it when I was there.
Apparently it is a popular place for the locals to bring a weekend picnic lunch.

We really enjoyed Bonnieux. We actually didn't see another tourist as we wandered through the streets. It was like you were seeing pictures from a travel magazine. It seemed like a very quite town.......

This region of the Provence is dotted with picturesque villages. Morever, I would have been more than happy to just drive around and try to absorb the pleasant and oftentimes spectacular landscape.......
