Cycling up from Briancon will take a lot of your energy but it is really worth it!!! If you take a car, you have to be good to the cyclists!!! The ascent start right from the city of Briancon. From there it is constant uphill, hairpins, and lots of sweatting but it's all worth it... Remember that it's a moutain pass used by the Tour de France...

The most important street is the Grande Gargouille, meaning the great water spouter.
The street own its name of a water stream flooding right in the middle of the street to provide water when there is a fire.
Be careful not to step into this small stream!
The Grande Gorgoulle or Grande rue is the main shopping street of the upper town.
The facades of the shops reminds of a typical architecture of a mountain town.
