Luggage and bags: I bought the Fishing vest on a side trip to Vintimiglia. it was only 9 EU.
Not only does it look fantastic on me but it's a great way to organize all your stuff.
It even had a loop to hang my sunglasses.It made passing through the security at the airport a breeze. Just take it off and put through the xray. If your concerned about making a fashon statement forget it...Your on vacation ...you'll never see these people again!

Luggage and bags: depends on how long you're staying and what your plans are...i'm a light traveler
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: sandles! flip flops!
GOOD sunglasses - not the barely tinted things especially if you have sensitive eyes
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: every place seems to be well stocked with the bare necessities
Photo Equipment: fun water proof cams if you like to swim. i used a digital and it was perfect for all my needs (i was in a large group, and i could take this everywhere - restaruants, parties, etc)
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: BEACH GEAR!!! swimsuits. you'll have to pay to get on most beaches, and they provide chairs and umbrellas
Miscellaneous: if you stay at a villa, you can save money by going to the store and making many of your meals...they have fresh seafood that is perfect for the grill.

Luggage and bags: Light backpack.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Dress casually, (as a tourist, it's easier to get in clubs).
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring Aspirin, Tylenol or Advil: whatever works for you. Because a night out in Cannes will make you remind it the next day. Those pills are mandatory.
