    Notre Dame de Bon Voyage

Notre Dame de Bon Voyage was built in 1865 on the site of an older church with the same name. The architect, Laurent Vianay, is also famous for designing many of the luxurious villas and residences of the same period in Cannes. The church is one of the largest in Cannes and is located near the Palais des Festivals, just behind la Croisette. Its claim to fame is that Napoleon passed by its predecessor in 1815 en route from Elba to Paris. A large plaque commemorating the passage can be found on the side of the church (see photo).
